125 Years Old

Thanks to Ruth and everyone who organised the 125 year celebration of Christian Endeavour and having me there last night. I'm not sure whether you are meant to spell things using the American spelling when you link to an American website, but I've stuck to the good old British 'endeavour' with a 'u'. I have to confess that I've been under a rock for the last 125 years and I have never heard of Christian Endeavour before.

It was great to see all the crew from Emu Plains who I met at Back-2-Basics. There was a great choir there as well. They were singing 4 part harmonies with guys and girls singing counter-lyrics and melodies. I'm sure they must have had Brian Wilson doing their arrangements.

I was standing behind the merchandise table at the end of the night when who should come up and say hello but the Reverend Honourable Fred Nile, who I believe happens to be the president of Christian Endeavour (Australia) as well as a member of the NSW Senate. He said that he enjoyed my songs and wished me well in my ministry. It was really strange to meet him and chat a little. I think whenever you see someone on TV before you meet them, you don't really expect that they exist as regular people in the flesh.

I didn't really think about it at the time, but I regret that I didn't ask whether Gordon Moyes was around during the evening. I suspect that he was, given that we were at the Wesley Theatre in Pitt St. I'm sure it would be inspiring to talk for even a few minutes with a man who has acheived and given so much to everyone else. This guy has more than 30 letters after his name, and I'm sure he's added more since they last updated his website.

To answer your question about recommending some of Levi's junk, I have to say that it is junk and I would otherwise throw it out if there wasn't someone paying $3 for it. I have a self-portrait that Levi did the other day on a scrap piece of paper. He's also got a single black sock that is too small for him and I can't find its friend.

Levi's junk is pretty cheap though, so you can't really go wrong.

Hi Emma, It is great to hear from you. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and I hope your friend regularly wears the shirt I gave her.

It looks like you could use a little help with your grammer and spelling. Do you go to shool? Do they still have English lessons at your school? I think you are in need of extra lessons...
